Sharpening is the action of creating a repeatable and symmetrical single or double bevel edge to your item(s).

Refinara (Sharpen Up) will employ all best practices and edge angles to ensure the best result and longevity in the sharpening/ reshaping of your edge tool, blade or knife, taking into account the quality of the steel, the type of item to be improved and the intended use.

Our systems have been assembled from around the world, using what we consider to be the best solutions for each application, or a combination of solutions.

A digital file is kept for each customer’s items (no personal details) and this ensures an accurate and repeatable finish time after time. It also allows Refinara to develop a sharpening history of a tool or knife.

For this reason only digital media orders are acceptable. Our preferrred method is WhatsApp for speed and convenience. We require at least three photos of the item in order to appraise the condition and provide a quotation for the sharpening of the item(s). Sharpening/ reshaping will only begin once the quotation has been agreed and paid for in full.

In order to lessen the impact of our operations on the planet (you are already contributing by re-using an existing item and not replacing something that does not need to be replaced), we will try to collect and deliver by bicycle from/ to an agreed meeting point in Coin Malaga Spain. Typical turn around is 48hrs for items, unless a special order or unusual requirement. This also provides us with an opportunity to view the item(s) first hand, prior to commencing work.
